Alexander the Great
Although Phillip II was considered a great military leader, his son was an even greater one!
Although he was only 20 years old, he was as strong a leader as his father. He immediately went south to end a revolt that was taking place in Thebes. Within a year, he had destroyed Thebes and enslaved the Theban people. This was an example to other Greeks of what would happen if they turned against him. He then set out to build an empire. This made him one of the greatest conquerors in history and earned him the name Alexander the Great!
